We construct kerbs, edgings, pavements, walkways, vehicle access routes, service yards and parking areas. We install drainage runs, gullies and attenuation features to manage surface water, and we coordinate with Section 278 works and building thresholds to achieve correct falls and level access. We also handle external concrete slabs, hard standing and service bases for plant and street furniture. Our teams work in live environments and understand the need to maintain safe access for other contractors, staff, visitors and, in some cases, the public.
By taking responsibility for externals as well as substructure, we can align drainage, levels and finishes from the start. This avoids regrading at the last minute and reduces the risk of water pooling, trip edges or non-compliant access routes at completion.
External works are often on the critical path to practical completion. We plan sequencing and access in parallel with the main contractor to ensure work can progress without blocking fire exits, deliveries or emergency routes. Safety management, traffic planning and public interface are treated as essential, not as afterthoughts.
We finish cleanly and provide a presentable, compliant external environment that reflects well on the project at handover. The result is a complete package in which external works, drainage, and Section 278 tie-ins are aligned and documented, rather than a patchwork of last-minute fixes.
